
The Virtual Jazz Band was formed by Pianist and Producer Wayne Brown, for the purpose of bringing together great singers and musicians from diverse musical backgrounds and influences, with the common ground being a love of Jazz. Wayne has worked with a diverse array of artists achieving international chart success including Billy ocean, Stevie Winwood, Junior Giscombe, Jonathan Butler, Ruby Turner, Lulu, EW&F, George Michael, Alishas Attic, Yazz to name but a few. The wealth of musical influences and experiences and his extensive musical background of playing with legendary Jazz artists as well as classic symphony orchestras has allowed him to create the eclectic and rich VJB experience. The debut album entitled "The jazz Club Volume One", has received worldwide critical acclaim through various media channels including being the featured album for several weeks on the Jazz FM radio station and website. The VJB have performed to large audiences in many countries around the world, and Wayne Brown has recently become the artistic director of the Bucharest international Jazz competition as part of Europafest one of the largest European Jazz festivals with over 300 participants from 45 countries. |
